The line you see on the back of your card is a collection of magnetic particles – each a tiny magnet with its approximately 20 millionths of a millimeter. It is a general belief that the exposure of these particles can climb to an external magnet, the information and do not take the card read.

Magnets on a mission
Our experiment began with three different magnets of different strengths:
• A generic fridge magnet, similar to those in the company of your child’s artwork in your kitchen.
• A slightly stronger magnet, capable of up to 72 pounds.
• A junkyard magnets that hold about 7,000 pounds and is just fun to see in action.

We stole three separate cards – all tested and working properly before the attempt, by the way – with one of these types of magnets and then took her to a local dealer who ran each card with a credit card, the test machine is still is readable and what not.
After all preparations had been made, it was time for the big unveiling.
Moment of Truth

Call The Expert

Huh. So armed with this information, we have decided to repeat the experiment with the refrigerator magnet. We left the magnetic stripe card suspended for a few minutes and took a few digs more for good measure.
Then we took them back into the shop and … Good luck. The stripe card was demagnetized.
Not the only way a card Destroy
The safest, most practical way to destroy your credit card, but it is cut into small pieces with a shredder or scissors.
For additional protection (or if you just want us to experiment replicated very cool), you can use a magnet on the line. Be sure to be suspended for a significant proportion of the time – which is too heavy junkyard magnet as well.
