There are about 10 years, I was part of the annual leave, and my niece came with her friend, newly minted MBA. As he looked around the room, he noticed that my co-workers seemed to be happy. I told him I thought they were.
Then I thought would take the new diploma for a test drive, I asked him how he thought I had. “I’m sure you treat them well,” he said.

He did not answer, nor the many others that I’ve told this story. So what’s the answer? I fired the people unhappy. To laugh at people in general at this point. I wish I were kidding.
I am not. I learned a long, difficult and frustrating that as a manager, you can not all be happy. You can try, you can hear, you can solve some problems, you can try a little more. Good management requires training, advice and patience, but there comes a time when you fly the company valuable time and energy.
Do not get me wrong. This does not happen much. There is no pleasure in the act of shooting someone. And that’s not always the fault of the staff – there are plenty of bad bosses out there. Bad management can be a good employee dysfunctional. Secondly, good management is not always a good employee dysfunctional. And sometimes people who otherwise do not meet your employees, only large companies, whether the type of company or corporate culture.
In the worst case, the problem is in the correct size of greater significance than just a performance of employees. Being responsible does not necessarily mean that you have control, and because the control does not necessarily mean that in charge. Have you ever been paralyzed a company or a department by someone who is unhappy and wants to take hostages? It is remarkable to see how much damage can a human being. This is just my opinion. I’m not a PhD, an MBA or even a degree in economics. What I have is a happy society. And it makes me happy. Now I know some people say, business making money is, and not all to be happy. There is also issue an opinion. Everyone has their own opinion. If you own a business, you also have the right to select surround himself with people that you take.
I understand the last fifteen years, with a focus on reducing costs, how the changes in the market, and worries about the economy. Things seem to be better, or I’m just normal.
Anyway, I had a good day today. Not because I have a large order, large financial reports, or even an employee, by stopping me, what a great boss that I am. (Who is usually not the case. You have to say. It’s one thing boss.) I had a great day because I spent most of his time walking around the company and appreciate the fact that even after a year and half of soft sales and cutbacks and cancellation of leave, I have wonderful people working for me.
